I was recently auditing an apparel website built on the Salesforce Commerce Cloud. This platform used to be known in the tech community as ‘Demandware’ until the company was acquired by Salesforce in 2016. The out-of-the-box functionality a retailer can expect from the software is great with a lot of seamless integrations to get an e-commerce website up and running rather quickly.
Anyone who who knows me professionally knows I’ve worked with Demandware / Salesforce Commerce Cloud for almost 8 years and know many of its strengths and weaknesses. And as a SEO professional, I’ve learned many of Demandware’s unique approaches to SEO and how to better them.
If you’re interested, I whipped up a blog post about 8 things any Demandware SEO can do when working with a Salesforce Commerce Cloud site. Check it out and let me know if you have any questions. We also handle Salesforce Commerce Cloud consulting if you’re in the middle of an integration. We provide insight on content assets, how to build the right content slots, product / category hierarchy recommendations and more.
