LSEO, a well-known and respected agency in the SEO and digital marketing community recently published a roundup of the top 25 SEO tools to use in 2020. Many of the tools are free, while there are a handful of paid plans for more advanced SEO professionals.
Of the well-researched roundup, I provided my commentary for one of my personal favorite SEO tools, Screaming Frog. Screaming Frog is a technical SEO tool that provides insight into a variety of on-page elements like heading tags, title tags, descriptions, image alt tags, etc. It’s one of the first checks we do when launching a new SEO client because it provides a benchmark of the client’s current situation. It’s also helpful in roadmapping everything we’ll be doing for the client and where the low hanging fruit exists.
Screaming Frog is free to use up to 500 URLs, which is more than adequate for most small business websites. It’s easy to start and you’ll be impressed with the amount of data available.
